Transferring your mobile service to Tangerine – What you need to know
First, we’ll confirm your service can be transferred to Tangerine. We’ll tell you if it can’t be transferred for any reason.
We’ll then send you an SMS with a unique code that you’ll need to verify as part of our pre-port verification process.
The number you want to move to Tangerine needs to be active with your existing service provider at the time of transfer.
You’ll be able to use your existing service during the transfer process, and once it’s complete, your old service will be automatically disconnected.
If you transfer your service, you may have to pay a cancellation fee to your existing service provider and there may be other consequences if you end your existing contract early.
We will tell you that your service has been successfully transferred to Tangerine on the day this is completed or as soon as practical after that day.
Upon transfer, your mobile service will be subject to Tangerine’s standard terms and policies.
You can login to our self-care portal to view and manage your Tangerine mobile service once the transfer is complete.
