Tangerine bags NBN Provider of the Year in 2024 Finder Awards

Tangerine knocked it out of the park in Finder’s 2024 NBN Awards by winning NBN Provider of the Year after competing against 38 other brands.
Tangerine was also highly commended across several other categories, including two in Finder’s Mobile Awards:

- Budget NBN Provider
- SIM Only Mobile Provider - Value
- SIM Only Mobile Provider - High Data
NBN Awards
Finder’s NBN Awards showcase the best providers across different NBN speed tiers so that Aussies know who to turn to based on their need for speed.
The awards also highlight the best budget provider given the cost of living is still holding a firm grip on many of us. It’s also just nice to know which provider is offering the best bang for buck at a low price point.
The Provider of the Year trophy specifically goes to the brand that outshines across the most popular speed categories such as NBN 25, NBN 50 and NBN 100.
Price and speed
The most important factors considered in the methodology are the 24-month cost and the typical evening speeds you get in return.

And in fact, Tangerine’s known to throw around some juicy 6-month signup discounts so it’s no surprise that it had the edge here.
Other features considered
Besides speed, price and data, there are a few bells and whistles that make providers stand out from the pack in these awards.
Finder looked at features such as the option to BYO modem, the cost of the modem if you decide to buy from a provider directly, and the availability of both phone and live chat support.
Tangerine offers multiple ways for people to get in touch which is handy, especially if you don't want to get on the phone directly.
You can also BYO modem or bundle a home phone line for an additional $10 a month.
Mobile Awards
Tangerine was highly commended for both value and high data in the SIM Only categories.
