This is why it is so important for us to create reliable, real and meaningful connections we proudly showcase through our various partnerships.
Our partnership with Pancare Foundation is one that is close to our heart. In 2019, the Tangerine team lost a long-time friend and sales partner, Peter Back, after a short and courageous fight against pancreatic cancer. After seeing our friend and respected partner succumb to this devastating disease, we were motivated as a business to take action in Peter's memory.
Pancare Foundation are a leading charity committed to inspiring hope, raising awareness, supporting families and funding research for upper gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. Pancare’s mission to improve survival rates and support for Australians diagnosed with pancreatic, liver, stomach, biliary and oesophageal cancers resonated with Tangerine due to the clear synergy in values. Tangerine hope to through their partnership with Pancare create awareness and delivery long-term, sustainable revenue to Pancare to support their mission.
Tangerine join Pancare at their ‘Unite For Hope’ fundraising events located all across the eastern seaboard of Australia. These events aim to bring families and communities together to fundraise and walk in support of patients who have been affected by an upper GI cancer. As Pancare Foundation’s major sponsor, it is an honour and privilege to offer $125 to the Foundation for each time one of their community members signs up to a new Tangerine award-winning NBN plan or $50 for every new Mobile SIM plan. This is our small way of helping Pancare Foundation continue its mission to raise much-needed funds and awareness for upper GI cancers.
Small Change Big Change
We are proud to partner to Small Change Big Change, backing their mission to provide education and engagement programs that promote good mental health, a strong sense of identity and connection – and, ultimately, to build resilient young Australians.
Through this partnership we offer our customers an easy and secure way to add a small - but significant - $1 donation to their monthly bill to support Small Change Big Change. Donating $1 per month can help 3 young Australians who are going through a mental health challenge get the responsive and effective online mental health resources they need. That’s just $1 from one person – imagine the positive impact that could flow from thousands of monthly bill donations.
100% of the donations go to the Telco Together Foundation – a registered charity backed by Small Change Big Change. All proceeds are equally distributed across Telco Together Foundation’s three community partners: ReachOut, Red Dust and Beacon Foundation. These communities have been selected due to their adoption of a unique approach to building resilience in young Australians while maintaining high levels of integrity, management and financial transparency.
