Why Tangerine are changing the price of our nbn® plans

Save On Award Winning nbn® - See Plans

Recently, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) approved nbn® Cos proposal to vary the Special Access Undertaking (SAU). The SAU sets the rules for how the nbn® is regulated, including pricing.

Part of the change to the SAU, includes a new wholesale pricing structure for all nbn® speed tiers. This includes an increase in the wholesale price for the 25 and 50 Mbps speed tier services and wholesale prices for the 100 Mbps or faster speed tier services will be reduced.

We're also feeling the impact of business costs that keep rising and as a result, we need to make some adjustments to the prices of our nbn® plans. This is the first nbn® price rise weve had to pass on to our existing customers and has been a difficult decision for us, but it's crucial for us to keep providing you with top-notch service. We are also passing through price decreases to customers on many of our faster speed plans

On behalf of our customers, we lobbied both nbn® and the ACCC to block or delay these changes as we understand the timing for customers that are receiving an increase is not ideal (you can view our submission here).
